I cannot connect to the SymplyWORKSPACE Assistant because of the connection timing out
From power on the SymplyWORKSPACE Assistant will be available in 3-4 minutes. The default address is http://symplyworkspace-1.local:8088
Check that the Ethernet cable for the Public Port (Port C) is connected to your switch / router, or to the computer if you are making a direct connection from your computer to the SymplyWORKSPACE. Make sure the Ethernet cables are correctly seated. They should "click" securely into place.
Check the computer has a valid network setting, and that the network ports are showing active connections – see installation guide [click here].
If all the cabling is correct and you can still not connect the SymplyWORKSPACE Assistant then you can test the network is configured correctly by sending a ping to the address of your SymplyWORKSPACE.
On the macOS open Terminal and type “ping symplyworkspace-1.local”
On Windows open the Command Prompt and type “ping symplyworkspace-1.local"
If there is a reply to the ping command, then the network setting and cabling are correctly set, and you will be able to load the SymplyWORKSPACE Assistant. Otherwise go back and check the network configuration and cabling. Contact [Symply Support] if required.
