Information about the ATTO Xtend SAN iSCSI Initiator


Unlike Windows, macOS does not include built-in iSCSI Initiator capabilities, which is needed to communicate with the LTO tape drives (known as iSCSI targets) connected to the SymplyPRO Ethernet appliance.

 

Licensing

Symply recommend ATTO Xtend SAN for the iSCSI initiator. One (1) ATTO Xtend SAN license is included with every purchase of a SymplyPRO Ethernet, this license can be claimed by opening a support ticket and providing the serial number of the Symply product and proof of purchase. Additional licenses are available to purchase via the Symply or ATTO webstores, or via a Symply authorized reseller.
