Information about the ATTO Xtend SAN iSCSI Initiator

Unlike Windows, macOS does not include built-in iSCSI Initiator capabilities, which is needed to communicate with the LTO tape drives (known as iSCSI targets) connected to the SymplyPRO Ethernet appliance.

Licensing

It is recommended to use ATTO Xtend SAN. One (1) ATTO Xtend SAN license is included with every purchase of a SymplyPRO Ethernet, this license will be emailed to a nominated email address at the time of purchase. Additional licenses are available to purchase via the Symply or ATTO webstores, or via a Symply authorized reseller.
