The SymplyPRO Ethernet appliance is a revolutionary range of desktop and rack mountable high-performance LTO appliances with 10Gb Ethernet connectivity (iSCSI), allowing customers securely and remotely access LTO tape drives via an accelerated Ethernet interface to SAS architecture, providing simplicity, operational flexibility, and overall system efficiency. The SymplyPRO Ethernet is designed for environments including Media & Entertainment, Enterprises, and Datacentres.

 

The SymplyPRO Ethernet has undergone qualifications with industry leading storage, network infrastructure, leading ISVs and features [Linear Tape File System (LTFS)] support. LTFS provides an open standard for both backup and archive applications. LTFS allows organizations to easily protect and interchange data using LTO cartridges. The SymplyPRO Ethernet appliance is available in two versions Tape and Bridge.

SymplyPRO Ethernet Tape

The SymplyPRO Ethernet Tape is available as a desktop appliance featuring one or two half-height LTO drives (XTH), a desktop appliance with one full-height LTO drive (XTF), a 1RU appliance with one or two half-height LTO drives, or a 2RU appliance with one or two full-height LTO-9 LTO drives.


SymplyPRO Ethernet Bridge 


The SymplyPRO Ethernet Bridge is a 1RU appliance that features a 10Gb Ethernet to 12Gb SAS controller with two independent 10Gb Ethernet ports and one (1) 12Gb mini-SAS HD (SFF-8864) connector.
