Follow the workaround described in this article to use the client driver of Workspace XE and Workspace with macOS Sequoia.

Symply recommend to update the macOS to Sequoia 15.15 for best support.

The information in this article applies to:

  • Client Driver 2.9.4
  • Workspace Client 4.7.4
  • macOS Sequoia 15.15

Known Issues with macOS Sequoia

Beginning with macOS Sequoia, Apple introduced firewall behaviour changes that prevent adding port-specific exceptions, this results in:

  1. Client Driver: Attempting to add the Workspace XE on a macOS Sequoia client results in an error.
  2. Workspaces Client:
    • No Workspace XE server can be automatically discovered.
    • Attempting to manually connect to a Workspace XE server displays all servers as offline. The problem persists after each restart of the macOS Sequoia computer.

Workaround

To ensure full functionality of Workspace XE and Workspaces Client, the macOS firewall must be disabled, and you must force allow the Client Driver and Workspace Client applications respectively to find and communicate with devices on your local network by following these steps:

  1. In the Apple Menu, navigate to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network
  2. Do the following:
  • Tiger Store client: Turn off, then turn on permissions for "smct".
  • Tiger Spaces client: Turn off, then turn on permissions for "Electron".
